Markus Suorsa

Assistant Sabre Coach

Markus Suorsa first started fencing in 2015 at McGill University in Montreal, where he eventually joined the competitive team. After graduating with a B.Eng in Electrical Engineering, he has been working as a RF Engineer in the Bay Area while continuing to compete and coach in fencing. Markus is a national champion for Finland and continues to represent the Finnish national team within the USA and on the FIE circuit. Notable results include gold at Finnish nationals, individual bronze and team silver at Nordic Championships, and a slew of USA fencing regional medals. He has been coaching at TFC since July 2023 and assists the L2 and L3 Sabre group classes.
